NORTH TEXAS
ROD & CUSTOM

ABOUT US
North Texas Rod and Custom was founded in 1986 by Jack Ellison. Jack had always been a car enthusiast and had a knack for mechanical and electric systems from a very young age. What started as a hobby in his garage slowly turned into a thriving business for Jack. In 1994 Jack, his wife Christie and their two children, Jenn and Jon, moved to Kaufman county where NTRCI is located today. Jack was a car nut to say the least, Jenn and Jon grew up traveling to various car shows and always helping out in the shop.
Over the years, Jon and Jennifer made their way back to Kaufman county, where they each call home. Jon has stepped up into the role of shop foreman. He is the shop’s main fabricator, electrician, mechanic and upholsterer. Jon has found a love for metal fabrication, fabricating panels using the English wheel and a bead roller. He has made many custom panels for our customers, setting their cars apart with one of a kind panels. Jon has filled many roles in the shop, but one he was eager to hand off was the role of painter. After many attempts to find a paint and body person, Jack hired on Jennifer after she attended Eastfield Community College with focus on Hot Rod/Street Rod Restoration. A position in the paint and body shop needed to be filled and Jennifer stepped up. She has proved herself capable and willing to do the tough job of paint and body. Jennifer and Jon have put their hearts into NTRCI, just as Jack did before. With excellent customer service, focus on quality and honest business practices, North Texas Rod and Custom will be be around for many years to come.
