North Texas Rod and Custom Inc offers all levels of engine service from tune-ups to build-ups . We do engine swaps for those who need newer or bigger motors, including fuel injected, to keep you cruising in style. Installing a nitrous-oxide system, blower, or setting up to race on methanol are just a few of the performance modifications we have done.

North Texas Rod and Custom Inc can install virtually any transmission into your ride. We have installed many of the ever popular GM Turbo 350 and 400, 4L60E, Ford C4 and C6, Ford AOD, many manual stick shifts including 4, 5,and 6 speeds from GM, Ford, Chrysler, and also the Tremec TKO 500 and TKO 600 manuals. We have also used the Gear Vendors add on overdrive system. For you drag racers, we can install the beefed up after market Powerglides.


At North Texas Rod and Custom Inc many rear end set ups are available including the popular 8 and 9 inch Fords, Fab9s, GM 10 and 12 bolts, Dana 60s, Corvette IRS, and custom IRS systems from Heights and Kugel Components. Of course we can also add disc brakes to any rear end. We also set up new gears and install posi tracs, lockers, and spools in most rears.
